Katy Theatre presents Newsies, a Disney musical, based on the real-life Newsboys' Strike of 1899 in New York City, telling the story of young, impoverished newsboys led by charismatic Jack Kelly who strike against powerful newspaper publishers like Joseph Pulitzer when prices rise, fighting for fair treatment and a better life with big dance numbers and themes of solidarity and courage. This show is sure to have the whole family singing along by the end of the show!
