PRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: Wrong Way Drunk Driver Arrested In Katy

Constable Terry Allbritton's Katy deputies were patrolling the area when they encountered a wrong way driver in the 2400 block of Porter Rd near Clay Rd. A traffic stop was conducted and, upon further investigation, it was determined that the male was intoxicated while driving. Fortunately, no one was injured and the vehicle was stopped before his wrong way driving caused any traffic accidents. The male was arrested and charged with DWI.

There is just too much of this going on. I am so glad this person was stopped before he would injure or kill an innocent person. I know too many people who have been affected by drunk drivers, and all these people get is a slap on the hand. That is why it keeps happening again and again.

Considering how much riskier it is to be on the wrong side of the highway it should make the charges even worse. Any collision is basically guaranteed to be fatal
