🔥 WILDFIRE DANGER🔥

Governor Abbott has just expanded the State's Wildfire Disaster Proclamation to include 179 Texas counties as hot, dry, and windy weather continues across much of the state. This is due to summer-like heat and low humidity sticking around. Wildfire Danger will stay high through this week. Everyone is urged to skip outdoor burning, welding, or anything that can spark a fire.

This proclamation is for getting equipment and crews in these areas so that they can, hopefully, quickly put out any possible fires.

Thanks for this post. The dryness is terrible, and hope folks follow this Disaster Proclamation. We need some rain. I wonder if this means we will have a cold winter.

Fort Bend County is under a Burn Ban, and Harris County will likely issue a Burn Ban on Thursday. It doesn't look like we will get much rain later this week and over the weekend. Hope the rain predictions are incorrect and we get some much needed rain.
