Traffic Stop in Katy Leads to DWI and Drug Charges

On May 26 at approximately 2:50 a.m., deputies with Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of N. Westgreen Blvd. after a driver honked behind a deputy before accelerating away and running a red light.
During the investigation, deputies discovered cocaine on the driver and also located marijuana and multiple open containers inside the vehicle. The driver displayed signs of impairment and was taken into custody.
The suspect was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
