Katy High School FFA Dominates State Competitions

Katy High School FFA students are bringing home state titles and setting new records after impressive performances at two of Texas’ top agricultural competitions.
The Wildlife Career Development Events team claimed the state championship, with Emma Beason placing sixth overall individually and Connor Wimberly earning a second-place individual finish.
The success continued at the State Meats Judging Contest at Texas A&M University, where Katy High School FFA captured another state championship and recorded the highest team score in the history of the competition. Senior Chase Comiskey posted the highest individual score ever recorded at the state contest, while Andres Medina and Cayden Martinez also finished among the event’s top competitors.
With their record-breaking performance, the meats judging team has secured a spot at the National FFA Meats Judging Contest in Indianapolis this fall.
Congratulations to these students for representing Katy with excellence on the state stage.
