Nightshift Deputy Makes Drug and Weapons Arrest in Katy

A Nightshift Katy deputy with Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office was conducting proactive patrol in the 970 block of S. Mason Road when a white sedan was spotted parked behind a closed business in a poorly lit area.
As the deputy approached, a female was observed engaging in what appeared to be a hand-to-hand transaction with the male driver. During the investigation, a glass methamphetamine pipe was seen in plain view inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search led to the discovery of methamphetamine, promethazine, marijuana, and a loaded firearm. The male driver was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
