Speeding in Katy School Zone Leads to Felony Warrant Arrest

Loading Image...

While patrolling the school zone near Nottingham Elementary and Taylor High School in the 20400 block of Kingsland Blvd, one of Constable Terry Allbritton's sergeants observed a vehicle traveling 50 mph in a posted 20 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was unable to provide a valid driver’s license.

Further investigation revealed the driver was wanted in Maverick County (Eagle Pass, TX) on felony charges for Smuggling of a Person. The warrant was confirmed, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Harris County Jail.

Great job Constables. Glad this guy was stopped and didn't take someone getting hurt in order to arrest this guy.
