SWAT Standoff in Katy Ends With Kidnapping ArrestPRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: SWAT Standoff Ends With Kidnapping ArrestConstable Terry Allbritton's Katy deputies responded to a Family Assault in progress in the 1300 block of Hidden Canyon. Upon arrival, deputies were initially unable to see or hear any activity. A female later exited the residence with visible injuries and reported she had been held against her will and had struggled to breathe. She also provided information about the suspect, who had barricaded himself inside a room with a loaded firearm. Deputies further learned the suspect had an active Aggravated Family Assault warrant.The Harris County Sheriff's SWAT team was called to the scene, and the suspect eventually surrendered peacefully. He was arrested for the active warrant and new charges of Kidnapping.
