Katy Traffic Stop Unveils Expired ID and Active Warrants

PRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: Driver Arrested After Failing To Dupe Deputies In Katy

While patrolling the 900 block of S. Mason Road, Constable Terry Allbritton's Katy units observed a vehicle with a defective tail lamp and no registered license plate. Upon conducting a traffic stop, deputies discovered the driver attempted to identify herself using only a foreign passport, claiming she had no Texas ID.

However, a further search revealed a Texas ID that had been expired for over 10 years. Deputies also discovered the driver had several active Class C warrants out of our agency. She was taken to the Harris County jail, and her vehicle was towed
