Traffic Stop Leads to Recovery of Stolen CadillacPRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: Stolen Escalade Recovered In KatyOne of Constable Terry Allbritton's deputies was proactively patrolling near the intersection of Peek Road and FM 529. He stopped a presumed 2024 Cadillac Escalade for several traffic violations. During the traffic stop investigation, the deputy noticed there were several discrepancies with the vehicle’s VIN. A vehicle inspection was conducted and it was discovered that it was, in fact, stolen. The vehicle had its VIN tampered with and was masked to appear as 2024 Cadillac but it was a 2022 Cadillac. The vehicle had been reported stolen since November of 2022 by the Denton Police Department. The vehicle was seized and taken to our Auto Theft Partners at the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
