Katy Drunk Driver Detained After Striking Tree in Hit-and-Run
PRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: Driver Vs Tree Lands Drunk Man In Jail On Monday, June 30, 2025, deputies with Constable Terry Allbritton's Office were dispatched to the 22000 block of Keystone Trail in regards to a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle driving into a tree and leaving the scene. The driver's vehicle had heavy damage and he left behind his front license plate. The vehicle was found a short while later, stranded a few blocks away. Upon contact, the driver displayed multiple signs of intoxication. A series of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered on the scene, resulting in his arrest on charges of driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Harris County Jail.

Glad that license plate fell off! Keep in jail!
Very lucky it was only a tree that was struck and no harm was done to others
I hope he doesn't just bond out and stop for a drink on the way home.
