I just read that one of the last parcels of land on Morton Ranch

Road construction at Morton and Katy Ford Bend is terrible already. I can't imagine more of that. I catch a lot of the bad traffic on the way home but usually I try and avoid it in the mornings by leaving home a little earlier and giving me some extra time. I think it is wors in the evening when everyone is rushing to get home.

Sad that all the farm land is becoming subdivisions and commercial property.

Yes, I do, too!!! Katy is getting way too crowded.

We need hovercars so we can just float over all the other cars 😂

I thought that was a good idea too until everyone will thin k the same!! I actually was going way back to "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"!!

I do think they are planning to widen Porter from Morton to Clay, they have cut down trees.

We just sold our house in Katy because of the overcrowding and building. It's horrible and I was so sad to leave my home but can't stand the traffic, everywhere I went!

Seriously! I cried so much selling my house but I can't take the area anymore!

@Tiki60 : Just looking at that on a map looks like bad news for residents east and west of Porter north of Morton. Widening Porter will put the road really close to people's back yards! Or maybe it looks closer in the map?

And the land at the center (Green something or other) looks to have been raised 3 feet or so, with no retention ponds I could see. So a huge area of grazing and rain absorption land will no produce more runoff into area ditches creeks and streams--exacerbating flood risk which has ALREADY been downgraded by the Corps of Engineers. Harris County strikes again. To heck with flooding. We want more property tax revenue, and residents be damned.
