Intoxicated Driver Found Asleep Near Crash Scene in KatyPRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: Drunk Driver Found Sleeping Nearby After Plowing Into MailboxConstable Terry Allbritton's deputies were dispatched to the 20700 block of Park Pine Drive in Katy in reference to a vehicle that crashed into a mailbox. The 29-year-old driver had fled the scene but was later located approximately 800 feet away, asleep and intoxicated in a front yard. He was found in possession of the keys to the crashed vehicle. DWI charges were accepted, and charges for Failure to Stop and Give Information (FSGI) are pending.
