Deputy Assaulted During Mental Health Call in Katy

PRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: Woman Arrested For Assaulting Deputy In Katy

Deputies with Constable Terry Allbritton's Office were dispatched to a mental health investigation in the 22500 block of Carter Moir Ln. near Elrod Rd. Deputies made contact with one of two residents at that location and she falsely identified herself three times.
While trying to secure the female in the back seat of a patrol vehicle, she struck one of the deputies, causing pain. The female was transported to a nearby hospital and charges were accepted by the District Attorney's Office for Assault on a Peace Officer and Failure to ID Fugitive.

Hope the deputy that was struck is ok, hopefully the suspect can now get the help that she needs

Glad the deputy wasn't hurt any worse. It is sad to see mental health individuals because sometimes they don't know what they are capable of. I agree and hope she can get some help, so this does not happen again.

Hope the Deputy wasn't injured badly. Glad the woman is in a hospital right now. Hope she gets the mental help she is needing.
