DWI Suspect Caught Trying to Enter Stranger’s Home in Katy

Constable Terry Allbritton’s deputies responded to reports of a suspicious man attempting to enter a woman’s home in the 4600 block of Hawk Meadow Drive in Harris County.
Video footage showed the man driving up to the residence, getting out of his vehicle, and trying to open the front door and a window on the porch, ignoring the homeowner’s repeated commands to leave.
Deputies arrived and found the man sitting in his vehicle, which was illegally parked and blocking the homeowner’s car and driveway. He admitted to trying to enter the home, claiming he was visiting an “old girlfriend,” though the residents said they had never seen him before.
Deputies noted clear signs of intoxication, and the man admitted to drinking prior to driving. While the District Attorney declined criminal trespass charges, deputies issued a trespass warning and conducted a DWI investigation. The suspect, a 47-year-old male, showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
