Tompkins High School graduate, Zoe Puno, and her artworkKaty ISD Tompkins HS graduate, Zoe Puno, and her artwork, Waterfall Effect, were recently featured on the Expressions Challenge! Expressions is an arts program to connect, inspire, and empower youth to share their perspectives on life through the arts.

Zoe states, "As popular culture grows globally, it's easy to disregard the customs passed by preceding generations. In Waterfall Effect, I instill a greater appreciation for heritage through my family's customs. Waterfalls are symbolic of permanence and cascading motion. By each pair of hands are objects associated with their generation: my Lola's sewing kit, Choco Pies given to me by my Lola, dim sum with my mom, stories and toys from childhood, and hope for good fortune and wealth throughout."
