Stolen Truck And Financial Papers Recovered by Deputies
Deputies from Constable Ted Heap's Office arrested one man, recovered a stolen U-Haul truck and found what appears to be stolen financial documents in a traffic stop near the Sam Houston Tollway and the Katy Freeway.
Deputies pulled over the truck in the 1100 block of Wisterwood after discovering it had been reported stolen. Inside the truck, they found a backpack with financial papers that did not belong to those inside. Deputies also found more than 5 grams of crystal meth hidden in the dashboard.
The driver, Justin Michael Tidwell, 32, who has a lengthy criminal history and was wanted on two other felony warrants, was arrested without incident on felony drug charges. Further charges may be filed, pending the outcome of an investigation into the stolen financial papers.
