Harris County Sheriff's Office Violent Crime investigators say that Omarion Philip Bailey, the man wanted for shooting a 7-year-old boy last weekend, turned himself into HCSO deputies at the 49 San Jacinto Bonding Office late Thursday night.
He is being held on a $185,000 bond and has a court date of January 8, 2019.
According to reports from HCSO, on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at around 2:00pm, 9-year-old Omarion Philip Bailey, shot into a vehicle that was driven by an 18-year-old male who had his 6 and 7-year-old brothers with him.
Bailey was driving a late model Dodge Stratus, when he saw the complainant's Cadillac Escalade at the corner of Fort Stanton and Grey Hawk in far west Harris County.
Bailey shot at the vehicle while it was stopped at the intersection. The 7-year-old was hit by gunfire in the upper back.
The child was driven to Katy Memorial Hermann Hospital , and later transported by life-flight to Texas Children's Hospital (Medical Center). He is currently in good condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
The other child and male were not hit by gunfire.
