The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has located and identified a deceased male in Katy as a missing elderly person they'd been looking for since Thursday.
According to reports from FBCSO, Tai Park (77, Katy) went missing from his residence around 1 PM on Thursday, July 19. Mr. Park's family had reported him missing and gave deputies a thorough description, as well as shared information that he suffered from Parkinson's Syndrome.
Mr. Park was spotted a couple of times throughout the evening on Thursday...at Katy Mills Mall, a local McDonalds and even walking on the I-10 feeder road. However, sadly, they were still unable to locate him in time.
"We are sorry to report that we found Mr. Tai Park deceased along Buffalo Bayou behind Woodcreek Reserve," said Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office PIO Caitlin Espinosa. "He was spotted by our helicopter crew. We send a heartfelt thank you to the many members of the community who searched alongside our staff for the last 20+ hours."
Authorities also stated they believe no foul play was involved.
Our hearts go out to Mr. Park's friends and family.
