A man critically injured in a crash at 20051 Katy Freeway about 7:35 a.m. on August 10 has unfortunately died.The victim is identified as Robert Thomas, 84, of Katy, Texas. HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Ogden and Westside Patrol Division officers reported:"Mr. Thomas was driving a black Subaru Forester SUV eastbound at the above address when it appeared he exited the freeway, changed lanes when unsafe, struck dividing barrels at the exit and then the Subaru rolled over. Thomas stated another unknown vehicle was exiting the freeway at the same time, but the Subaru did not hit the other vehicle."Paramedics transported Thomas to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased on August 12.The investigation is continuing.
