Defective Light Leads to DWI and Weapon Detection

PRECINCT 5 IN ACTION: Drunk Driver Arrested In Katy
On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, Constable Terry Allbritton's deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 21100 block of Katy Fwy near Westgreen on a vehicle with a defective license plate light and driving on a flat. Deputies made contact with the driver who showed multiple signs of intoxication. In the vehicle, a handgun was also observed in the floorboard. Field Sobriety Tests were administered on scene and the driver was subsequently charged with DWI and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.
