Loading Image...

This virtual training for parents, hosted by Harris County Public Health, is to provide guidance to help families protect themselves and others during the upcoming holiday season. The training will cover how to safely and responsibly spend quality time with loved ones while keeping everyone happy and healthy. Presenters will also provide a high-level overview of other health-related services and resources specific to families. The session will conclude with the opportunity for parents to ask any questions related to holiday safety or COVID-19 in general.

For anyone questioning how to safely spend holidays with loved ones this is perfect. Really hoping next year things can get back to normal.

Yes we pray that we can get to have some normal holidays by next year. People still walk around in stores with no mask or wearing their mask under their chin. UGHHH!!!!
I would rather spend one holiday without my loved ones than an entire lifetime without anyone of them.

I know I have seen that and people wearing their mask but not covering their nose. I just don't understand why everyone can't just do this one thing. If I care enough to keep others safe I don't get why they can't reciprocate. It isn't like they need to walk around in hazmat suits.

@MaiaKoda : I have been told some people wear their mask below their nose because they cannot breathe with their nose covered. These people are wanting to be safe, are apologetic, but due to existing health problems just cannot cover both their nose & mouth at the same time. Anyone that I know that has this problem, I suggest they add a face shield as extra protection. I have given face shields to my friends that need them. Thinking about carrying some extra face shields for the next person that is apologetic due to health issues. Need to state that I never say anything to someone that does not wear a mask properly. In the stores, I have had people actually ask about my shield & apologetically state their reason for not wearing their mask over their nose. And then, too, there are people that wear their mask below their nose for no reason. Defiant?

Yes I get those stares as well. They don't understand that the reason is not only that you are trying to protect yourself but you are trying to protect them as well. GEEZZ!!!!!!!

Good thing these folks don't work in the health care industry! They'd never make it.
