16-Mile Pursuit Leads To ArrestDeputies from Constable Ted Heap's Toll Road Division arrested a man wanted by authorities in Arkansas after a lengthy high-speed chase through West and Northwest Houston.On the evening of January 20, a Precinct 5 deputy attempted to pull over a car in the 4000 block of Sam Houston Parkway North for displaying a fictitious temp tag. The driver sped off and led deputies on a 16-mile chase ending in the 900 block of Threadneedle, where the driver bailed out of his car and ran into a business.Deputies found Avery Williams, 31, hiding in a bathroom. He was arrested without further incident on charges of evading in a motor vehicle.
