Katy ISD Students Shine Bright at 2024 National Civics Bee
From Katy ISD:
Earlier this month, the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2024 National Civics Bee, igniting a passion for civic engagement among our students and fostering a brighter future for our communities. Katy ISD students shone brightly, with 4 out of the top 5 spots claimed by our talented students!
In a live quiz event, these students dazzled judges with their deep civic knowledge and understanding. Tays Junior High student, Roshni Karunamurthy, won first place and earned a well-deserved $500 cash prize! Not far behind, Kunsh Kalra from Seven Lakes Junior High secured third place, both earning the honor of representing our district at the upcoming state competition hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce!
Join us in congratulating Roshni and Kunsh, and all the participants for their hard work, dedication, and impressive achievements! Let's continue to inspire and empower the leaders of tomorrow!
