Santa Claus is coming to town on the back of Katy Fire Departments High Water Rescue Vehicle!

In order to preserve the old KFD Engine 5, the city has made it a permanent display in the Johnny Nelson Katy Heritage Museum. Due to the large size of the Rescue Vehicle we will be using to tote Santa around this year, and the modern Firetruck that accompanies him on his nightly tours; you might see some changes to the usual neighborhood route maps. (These maps will be posted every morning on the Fire Department Facebook page beginning November 26th).

It is the Fire Department's goal to maintain this yearly holiday tradition, but realistically we had to make some adjustments to avoid narrow streets, dead ends and cul-de-cac's in order to accommodate the large sized vehicles. To do this, we will not be able to go down every street as we have in previous years. Please plan on walking to the nearest main road in your neighborhood if you would like to see Santa on the night we are scheduled to be in your neighborhood.
