Building Permits office computer system & the citizen’s access portal
The City of Katy Building Department would like to notify their customers that the permit office computer system and the citizen’s access portal will be down Wednesday, February 1st, for a system upgrade from approximately 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
This will affect their ability to process permits and payments during this time. Inspections that are scheduled for Wednesday will still be performed, but the inspection results will not be emailed to the contractors/customers.
The inspectors will leave a green tag if the inspection has passed, a yellow tag if the inspection was pass pending and needs to be rescheduled, or a red tag if the inspection failed and a fee will need to be paid before rescheduling. If the inspection does not pass, the inspector will leave a handwritten list of the items that need to be corrected at the job site.
They apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience as they upgrade their system.
