Murder Charges Filed In 12-Year-Old's Death

A man who was fleeing Precinct 5 deputies on New Year's Eve has been charged with murder after an accident that killed a 12-year-old girl in West Houston.
The accident happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 after deputies tried to pull over a red Camry for speeding on the Katy Freeway. The driver led deputies on a high-speed chase that ended at Barker Cypress Road and Park Row Boulevard.
Six people were transported to area hospitals as a result of the collision. A 12-year-old girl who was in the fleeing vehicle died as a result of the crash.
Christian Rayo, 27, has been charged with murder, evading arrest and five counts of aggravated assault. At the time of the crash, Rayo was out on bond on burglary charges in Judge Beverly Armstrong's 208th District Court. #constabletedheap #yourconstable
