Officers Muniz and Admani work collaboratively with campus counselors, licensed psychologists and school administrators to support students’ mental health and well-being. September is National Suicide Prevention and Awareness month, recognizing warning signs and providing resources for someone in need could be life-saving.

Beginning July 16, 2022 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) transitioned to “988” the three-digit, nationwide phone number to connect directly to the Suicide Prevention and Crisis Lifeline. Katy ISD has updated the information on the back of ID badges for students in 4th-12th grade.
September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of this topic to ensure that all students, families and individuals know how to access support and resources to discuss suicide prevention and seek help.
