Scam Artist Arrested, Again
A Houston man has been arrested on charges of scamming unknowing victims out of hundreds of thousands of dollars over several years. Robert Henry Gibson, 59, was arrested after a lengthy investigation by Constable Ted Heap's deputies, who joined the Houston Police Department and the District Attorney's Office in presenting the facts to a Harris County grand jury earlier this month.
Gibson allegedly told his victims that he could help them buy tax delinquent properties at a discount. In one case investigated by Precinct 5, a man in Cypress lost more than $100,000 to the suspect.
Gibson was taken into custody after the grand jury handed down his indictment on 1st degree aggregate theft charges. At the time of his arrest, he was out on bail granted by Judge Ramona Franklin's 338th District Court for another aggregate theft case from 2019 which involved 7 other victims. #constabletedheap #yourconstable
