“For the past five years, Katy ISD FFA chapters have earned 11 Texas FFA State Championships and three FFA National Championships," said David Laird, Katy ISD FFA Events Coordinator. “Whether it's at local, state or national competition, students are challenged to develop critical thinking skills, practice teamwork and exercise communication amongst their chapters. Katy ISD is very proud of all Katy ISD FFA students," added Laird.
CDE competition is designed to help its members prepare for a career in agriculture by testing and challenging their technical, leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as their knowledge of the subject matter. The Texas FFA is the nation's largest state FFA association with a membership of more than 154,000 active FFA members.
