Help Prevent Drainage Issues in the City of Katy
The City of Katy Public Works crews are busy responding to the City’s drainage infrastructure due to the rain event the City is experiencing today. Rain is expected for the next few days and the City needs your help too!
-Leaves, litter or other debris can easily clog storm drains which can lead to localized flooding. If you see that debris is blocking a storm drain - use a dustpan, shovel or a trash can lid to remove debris from the top of the drain. Gloves are recommended. Safely place all debris into a plastic garbage bag and discard.
- Do not place any loose garbage bags, bags of lawn clippings, branches or limbs near the sidewalk or curb that could float away if water gets above curb level.
-Try not to park in the street, but if you need to, please try not to park in front of any curbs inlets.
Please call Public Works at 281-391-4820 or email them at
