It will be another hot today with high temperatures in the upper 90's. Heat index values will range between 105 and 110 degrees. There will be some morning showers and a chance for some afternoon thunderstorms.
 
Remember to:
 
*Drink plenty of fluids
 
*Check up on your neighbors
 
*Find shade and take breaks
 
*Wear light colored, loose clothes, hats and sunglasses

Stay cool and yes, a reminder to stay hydrated. Some folks think drinking soft drinks is a source of hydration. BUt sorry it is not. Good plain water is the best.

@Fiona : Juice really isn't great either. Too much potassium at once can dehydrate you.

If Electricity off during this Heat Wave, it will be much worse than the outage during the Super Freeze.

@AJ : I respectfully disagree. You can cool off, but trying to get warm with no heat is much harder.

Personally I think being with no AC is worse. It was very cold and at times unbearable but we found ways to stay warm. Huddling ,body heat, wearing multiple layers, fireplace, firepit. Even the candles were keeping our fingers slightly warm. The heat is horrible especially if it is humid. there isn't any breeze to keep cool.
