The City of Katy will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday

The City of Katy will be closed Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th in observance of Thanksgiving. City offices will re-open and resume service, including virtual services, on Monday, November 30th. The holiday does NOT alter the regular scheduled garbage and recycling services.

Thanksgiving Day is the perfect time to remind one another of the many reasons there are to be grateful. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.

I agree this is a time to think of all the positive in our lives and put aside the negatives.

I love that Thanksgiving always falls on a Thursday because usually the Friday afterwards is included in the Holiday and we get the day off. If Christmas falls on a Saturday then most likely we work on a Friday and Monday. Thanksgiving always makes for a nice long weekend!!!

We usually leave early the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Friday. I am happy we get to do that though. Usually for Christmas Eve we leave early too
