Important Message from The City of Katy regarding fall and winter holidays
Just because people are spending more time at home these days doesn’t mean you have to skip every fall activity you once loved. With a little organization, preparation and creativity – it’s still possible to enjoy some of your fall favorites.
Follow these tips to reduce your risk of being exposed to or spreading COVID-19 during activities:
• Wear a mask at all times when you are around people who don’t live in your household.
• Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet or more from people you don’t live with. Be particularly mindful in areas where it may harder to keep this distance, such as restrooms and eating areas.
• Limit contact with commonly touched surfaces or shared items.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
It is especially important to remember that if you are sick, or you may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, you should not participate in in-person festivities. Also, don’t be afraid to leave if protocols aren’t being followed.
