The funeral ceremony for Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal will be Wednesday, October 2, at the Berry Center. Sikh religious ceremony is at 10:30 a.m., law enforcement ceremony is at 11:30.

The public is welcome at both as long as space permits it.

I hate we have to have these. I attended the funeral for the deputy who died in Waller County last Halloween. It has been years since I have attended something so moving. To see the honor and respect from law enforcement for her was heart stopping. Everyone who can should attend, even children, so that we see there is so much more than to these people than "policing."
