Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office Deputies worked quickly to locate and arrest three BMV suspects that were in possession of stolen property reported by a victim in Katy.
According to reports from the FBCSO, on Saturday February 23, 2019 at 1:15 a.m., Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of Pecan Lane in the Katy area to investigate a burglary of vehicle.
The victim had left their vehicle unlocked and unattended for about fifteen minutes and discovered property missing upon their return. Before becoming aware of the missing property, the victim reported seeing a red Ford Mustang driving in the area.
Approximately an hour and a half later, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office was notified a red Mustang had been sighted in the parking lot of the Whataburger located in the 1100 block of Main St. in Katy. Deputies located a red Mustang in the parking lot and conducted an investigation. They were able to recover the victim's property out of the Mustang and return it to the owner.
The 3 suspects confessed to their involvement in the offense. Keano Jimmy Travis and Connor Simpson Bartling, both from Katy, and Leon Nogueira of Fulshear were all charged with Burglary of Vehicle. The 3 suspects were taken into custody.
