Willowfork Fire Department and Fort Bend County Emergency Services District #2 have partnered with Fort Bend County Emergency Medical Services to house Medic 15.
Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Commissioner, Andy Meyers, with Fort Bend County Emergency Services District (ESD) #2 Board Member, Robert Miller, along with staff from Willowfork Fire Department (WFD) and Fort Bend County Emergency Medical Service (FBCEMS) recently dedicated Medic 15 as "in service" at Fire Station #3 on Spring Green Blvd. in Katy.
Medic 15, a new Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU), officially began service on January 15, 2019. It will primarily serve the residents of western Cinco Ranch as well as numerous subdivisions including Firethorne, Jordan's Ranch, Rose Dale and Tamarron. Medic 15 is the third Mobile Intensive Care Unit and fourth FBCEMS Advanced Life Support response unit assigned to northern Fort Bend County.
"This is a great partnership between the ESD and the county, that will benefit the residents of this fast growing community," said WFD Chief Wilson. FBCEMS Chief Temple added, "It's a great opportunity to expand our service and provide excellent EMS services for residents of northern Fort Bend County".
