I just can not understand how a Mother could do such a thing. I know everyone screams that if someone is mentally ill or depressed, you need to get them help. However, it is a lot harder to do than it sounds. Police nor Hospital will take them if they appear sane, can carry on a conversation and state that they would not harm themselves or others. Then off the Ambulance and police go. You can not admit someone against their will.
But for a Mom to be able to end her child's life, is beyond my comprehension. No matter how depressed you are, why and how could they do such a thing.
When Andrea Yates drowned her 5 Babies, I literally went to my knees in the middle of my den when it aired on the news. I was holding my Newborn who was only 2 weeks old. I looked at his beautiful face and wondered, how could anyone hurt a child. But it continues over and over again. That Following September 911 Happened and I was sure the world was ending. Between the Yates and 911, I truly believed that World was ending and I prayed for more time with my children.
