The bi-annual city-wide cleanup will kick off with Keep Katy Beautiful's America Recycles Day event on Saturday, November 3rd at Katy's First Baptist Church parking lot from 9AM-12PM.

Bring your electronics for recycling and paper for shredding! They will also be collecting eye glasses, books, blankets and coats to donate to local organizations. For more information on the event and accepted items, visit cityofkaty.com/wordp ress/wp-content/uplo ads/2018/10/2018-Ame rica-Recycles-D

Saturday, November 3 will also be the date of KKB's Community-Wide Fall Garage Sale!

It's time to get the closets cleaned out, the garages organized and help to promote Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Rebuy! Get your garage sale registered today by visiting cityofkaty.com/wordp ress/wp-content/uplo ads/2018/10/2018-Fal l-Garage-Sale.p

The last leg of cleanup events will start on Monday, November 5 with the Fall Clean-Up heavy trash pickup.

In addition to the regular twice monthly heavy trash pickup, the City will sponsor the Fall Clean-Up beginning Monday, November 5, 2018. This is your chance to clean out closets and garages - all items must be placed neatly at the curb on Monday (11/3) morning at 7AM. There will only be one pass through the City, and it will take several days until the entire City is completed.

Any and all trash left at your curb (this includes bulky items such as furniture, appliances, bagged yard waste and bundled limbs) will be picked up. The following items are NOT allowed:

Construction debris, cross ties, pallets, carpet or padding, tires, solvents, paint, petroleum products, pool chemicals, fertilizer, herbicides, pesticides, hazardous materials/chemicals, logs or stumps, car batteries, soil, rocks, concrete, sealed containers, medical waste, medical sharps.

For questions about any of the above events, please email [email protected], call 281-391-4717 or visit cityofkaty.com

Last year I had to show my TDL to show that I do reside in City of Katy
They had someone at Shredder to help you unload, and you can wait/watch
them load your papers into machine and watch them shred.

Then they can direct you to the line where electronics get unloaded.
Very well organized.

I live in Katy, but not in Katy Proper or City limits of Katy. Will they let me in? I have a bunch of shredding needed. Since I had surgery last week, I missed the AARP one in Bear Creek last weekend.

@tinagy : I am worried that after loading up a truck full, I may get carded this year and have to unload it somewhere else.

@Tiki60 : There is a place off of Campbell Road North that you drive up to the back and they unload your boxes to be shredded. I can not think of the name currently.
