Harris County Sheriff's Office Violent Crime investigators are releasing surveillance video, and need the public's help in identifying a black male subject who robbed a cellular phone store at gunpoint in Katy.
According to reports from HCSO, on Saturday, August 25, 2108, at 10:15 a.m., Harris County Sheriff's Office District 4 deputies were dispatched to an in-progress call for service at a Cricket Cellular Phone store located in the 6800 block of N Fry road in the Katy area of west Harris County.
Deputies were told by an employee that the male came into the store and asked questions about cellphones and plans of service. After a few minutes the male left.
The male subject then reentered the store, pulled a chrome colored handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the employee. He demanded the money from the register and cellular phones that were on the counter.
The male then fled from the store and rode off on a bicycle across the parking lot.
He is described as being 20 to 25 years old, 5'6 to 5'9 in height and weighing 150 to 160 Lbs. The male has a thin build with a short natural afro hair style.
