Congratulations to Bryce Foster from Taylor High School and Ally Batenhorst from Seven Lakes High School as this year's recipients! Each will receive a $2,500 scholarship, donated to Katy ISD by BSN Sports, to the university or college of their choice. They are so proud of both of you for your hard work not only in your chosen sports, but also as members of this community.

As it has become tradition, each school year all nine Katy Independent School District high school campuses nominate one outstanding female and male student-athlete for the Katy ISD Student-Athlete of the Year award. After a thorough review by the District's Athletic Department, one female and a male student is chosen as the district-wide Student-Athlete of the Year and receives a $2,500 scholarship, donated to Katy ISD by BSN Sports, to the university or college of their choice. The Katy ISD Athletic Department is honored to announce Bryce Foster from Taylor High School and Ally Batenhorst from Seven Lakes High School as the Katy ISD 2020-21 Student-Athletes of the Year.

“We have many outstanding athletes in Katy ISD, making this a very difficult process to narrow down to just one male and one female athlete," said Debbie Decker, Executive Director of Athletics. “This past year, Bryce and Ally capped off outstanding careers and we can't wait to see what the future holds for them," added Decker.

Foster is best known for being an extremely hard-working, respectful and genuine young man who has established himself as one of the most accomplished athletes in Katy ISD history. In both football and track and field, Foster has performed at an elite level and his numerous awards and recognitions are a reflection of his accomplishments.
